Testing PPE against falls from a height
The course complies with the requirements of DGUV Guideline 312-906.

Prerequisites:
No special knowledge is required to participate in this course.
Course Content:
Theoretical content:
- Tasks and responsibilities of
- entrepreneurs/employers,
- supervisors,
- employees/users, and
- experts in the selection,
- provision, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Recognized technical rules (e.g., DIN EN).
- EU Declaration of Conformity.
- Product labeling.
- Instructions for use/safety information from manufacturers.
- Systems, their intended use, and application areas.
- Material knowledge.
- Defects and damages.
- Forces and their effects (e.g., impact forces, test forces), vector forces (e.g., when tensioning ropes).
- Storage, maintenance, lifespan.
- Incoming inspection and registration.
- Organization of testing and determination of test intervals.
- Documentation of testing.
- Product warnings, calls for inspection, recall actions.
- References to specialist literature, manufacturer publications, internet sources.
- Personal fall protection equipment (PSAgA/RA) in companies.
- State regulations.

- Operating instructions.

Practical content:
- Practical use.
- Possible damages to the equipment.
- External or visible defects (e.g., chemical influences, aging, wear) and internal or invisible defects, as well as their evaluation.
- Recommendations for further use.
- Assessment of the proper condition of personal fall protection equipment.
- Connection with the use of the equipment.
- Intended use and the function of various systems using practical examples:
- Restraint systems.
- Workplace positioning systems.
- Fall arrest systems.
- Rescue systems.

Upon successful completion of the examination, participants receive a certificate.
Notes:
- The number of participants is limited to 20 people.
- The duration of the course is 24 teaching units (45 minutes each).
