Electronically instructed person (EuP)
All employees performing work on electrical equipment as non-electrical experts must be trained on the associated hazards and appropriate measures. The "Electrotechnically Instructed Person (EuP)" course is suitable for these employees. After completing the training, the electrotechnically instructed person is familiar with the hazards and protective measures related to these activities, always works under the supervision of a qualified electrician. Typically, the employee is then formally appointed in writing to carry out specific tasks.
Not only those involved in work on electrical systems or equipment require training as an "Electrotechnically Instructed Person (EuP)" but also anyone entering enclosed electrical operating spaces.
